About the register
BrokerWarden is an independent public register of broker regulatory status. It exists to answer one question before you deposit: is this firm who it claims to be, and has a regulator said anything about it?
Forex fraud is a volume business. It works because most people do not check a licence number against the issuing regulator, do not recognise a cloned website, and do not know that a withdrawal requiring an upfront “tax” is always a scam. This register turns those checks into something anyone can do in a minute.
What a status means
We publish four statuses and nothing else. Verified and Caution are our own reading of the public licensing record. Warning and Danger are not opinions at all — they are only ever assigned where a named authority has published something about the firm, and the record links straight to that authority's page.
What we will not do
We do not call a firm a scam. We report that a regulator has published a warning about it, name the regulator, give the date, and link the notice. Regulators themselves are careful to say that a listing is not a court finding, and we repeat that on every flagged record. Where we cannot source a regulator document, the entity does not get a Warning or Danger status — no matter how many complaints we receive.
How the register is funded
When we point a reader toward a properly regulated broker we may earn an affiliate commission, and that funds the research. It never changes a status. No broker has ever been given advance sight of a status change, and no broker can pay to be removed from, added to, or reordered on this register.
The exact assignment procedure is published on the methodology page.
